«Join in the fight against human trafficking and social injustice»
Weavers of Hope is a non-governmental, non-political and non-religious organization, working in collaboration with other NGOs in both Italy and Nigeria to address the tragedy of human trafficking through victim prevention protection and re-integration programs with a particular focus on the educational aspirations of girls whose fundamental rights are often trampled underfoot by the societal norms and traditions
We Imagine a world in which human rights are guaranteed to all irrespective of social, economic, political, religious background. A world in which women and girls can move freely without fear of being captured, raped and exploited; and a world where they can obtain education and respect, and the opportunity to work and become autonomous, without discrimination. A world of love and solidarity, free from racism, sexism, homophobia and classism
Weavers of Hope is particularly committed to raising awareness, preventing trafficking and protecting victims. In addition, it supports survivors of trafficking, vulnerable people, women and children at risk of trafficking, both in their communities of origin and in the countries of migration, so that they can contribute to campaigns against human trafficking, sexual exploitation and domestic servitude.
To raise public awareness on the dehumanizing effects of Human Trafficking activities currently being perpetuated by local, national and international criminals with the sole aim of making wealth for themselves through exploitation of the others;
Act as a forum to educate the local population on the devastating effects of human trafficking and human rights abuse on the victims, their families and the nations and the global system as a whole;
To orientate the victims and help them elaborate their story full of senses of guilt, pains, wickedness and atrocities in order to help them surpass the enormous effect of their past.
To empower them to be self-sufficient for their independent and dignified lives.
In order to prevent women and children from falling prey to human trafficking, we visit communities, schools, churches, markets, motor parks, national and private radio and television station and organizations in (countries) to speak and conduct workshops.
